In addition, below are some helpful tips, reminders and frequently asked questions from IAABO Central to assist with accessing their platform. Please direct any questions about accessing their platform to central@iaabo.org for further assistance.
IAABO Members,
We've received a number of questions about accessing IAABO Central and completing courses and exams. To help everyone get started and avoid some common issues, we've put together a few helpful reminders, along with short tutorial videos to guide you through the platform.
1. Haven't received your welcome email? Verify your email address first.
IAABO Central uses the email address associated with your membership record in RefSec. If that address is incorrect or outdated, you may not receive your welcome email or password reset instructions.
Before contacting IAABO Central support, please follow these steps:
-
Visit RefSec Member Login and try signing in using your current email address.
-
If your current email address is not recognized, contact your local Board Secretary , who can update your information in RefSec.
-
Once your email address is correct, contact us at central@iaabo.org to request another welcome email.
2. Having trouble logging in, resetting your password, or using your verification code?
Your IAABO Central login is separate from your regular IAABO website login.
-
Temporary Password: Provided in your original welcome email and used to access your account for the first time.
-
Verification Code: A separate, one-time code sent to your email (automatically, by the IAABO Central system) to confirm your identity. It is not your password. Always use the most recently requested code. If you check your email through a web browser, be sure to use a different browser window or tab. If you navigate away from the page where it is asking you to enter the code, you will be required to log in again, which will generate another code and cancel the first one.
IAABO Central uses two-factor authentication (2FA). Once you successfully verify your identity, your specific browser is authorized for 30 days , so you should not need another verification code during that period when using the same browser (on the same device).
If you've forgotten your password, use the Forgot Password option on the login page.
3. Not sure where to begin?
If you're new to IAABO Central, we recommend reviewing our Getting Started tutorial for an introduction to the platform.
4. Can't find a course or exam?
IAABO Central provides access to educational courses, the Game Simulator, and exams. If you're unsure how to locate or begin an activity, our tutorial will help you get started.
5. Is a course or video not advancing?
Some courses intentionally restrict navigation until the required content has been viewed, and quiz questions have been answered correctly. Rest assured, all quizzes have been vetted by our rules experts and are correct. Also make sure the video or narration has finished before attempting to advance.
If a course freezes or becomes unresponsive, try refreshing your browser or reopening the course. If the issue continues, contact us with the course name and a description of where you're experiencing the problem.
Still need assistance?
If you've reviewed the information above and still need help, email central@iaabo.org with your full name, Board number, and a brief description of the issue. Screenshots are especially helpful when reporting technical problems.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we continue improving IAABO Central.
