BOARD 33 CADET APPLICATION

So, you're interested in becoming a basketball referee. That's wonderful - we'd love to have you. Before you fill out the online application, there are a few things you should know. First, classes begin in September and run two nights per week for approximately 2 hours. Classes end in early November. Attendance is important part of the program. You must commit to attending the required rules and mechanics classes. At the end of the program you will need to pass a written exam, as well as a practical on court evaluation. The IAABO exam is difficult and not everyone will be able to pass with an acceptable minimum score. But you will have a group of dedicated and passionate teachers to help you along the way. Please review the full description of our program by viewing the documents on this screen.

Application for membership in our organization is limited to individuals who are in good physical condition (as defined by your personal physician on the Physical Form) and who live in one of our 7 New Jersey counties (Bergen, Hudson, Passaic, Somerset, Middlesex, Essex and Union) If you don't live in one of these counties, please visit the IAABO site to find your local Board

Applications will accepted through August 15 of this year. The application below will allow you to register and pay online with a credit card. You may also pay via check if you prefer. Please ensure you can commit to the requirements of the program before applying. Once your payment is received, you may withdraw from the program and receive a refund minus a $50 processing fee prior to the start of class. Please make sure you read these documents prior to applying and submitting payment. Your spot in the class is not guaranteed until we have received a properly completed application and full payment. If you choose to pay by check, your check is due within one week from the time you submit this application.

If you understand and agree to the Program Requirements, please go ahead and fill out the online application. There is no paper application, so you must apply online here if you wish to enroll in the program. Once you have registered and paid, your application will be reviewed to ensure you are eligible to become a member. Successful applicants will receive an E-mail confirmation once their application has been approved. If your application is rejected for any reason, your payment will be refunded and you will be properly notified. The application fee is $225. This covers your training and your dues for the 2011-12 season.

Thanks for your interest in becoming a part of our organization!
