OFFICERS



President -  Robert Lauterhahn  (Wanaque)

Bob has been a member of IAABO since 1975. He has served on the Ethics, Mechanics and Techniques, Policy, Mentor and was Chairman of the Welfare Committee. He is the Assistant Baseball Coach at William Paterson University, during which the school won two National Championships. He was inducted into the William Paterson Athletic Hall of Fame in 2004. He is the founder and Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the Dan Finn Classic.  A long time associated member of the Passaic County Police Chiefs Association.  He has worked county finals in Bergen, Passaic, Essex, Morris, Union and Hudson, and T.O.C. Finals. Bob is a Past Dominic Cuccinello Award Recipient.

Vice President - Jim Stoeckel, Sr.  (Bloomfield)

Jim has been a member of IAABO since 1983. He is the current Banquet Committee Chairman. In addition, he has served on the Attendance, Mechanics and Techniques, and Mentor Committees. He has officiated Volleyball and Softball and is currently the Basketball Assignor for the SEC as well as the NJAC Conference. He is the Softball Assignor for the SEC and the Big North.  He is also the co-chairman for the Girls County Tournament for Basketball and Softball. He is presently The Boys and Girls Assignor for the Essex County Basketball Tournament. He is a Past Dominic Cuccinello Award Recipient. Jim is retired.

Executive Secretary / Treasurer– Walter Rusak  (Bridgewater)

  Walter has been a member of IAABO since 1973.  He started on the executive board in 1992 as Attendance Chairperson, and has served as Chairperson of the Cadet Examination committee for seven years.    Other committees he has served on include the Awards, Constitution, and Audit and Budget committees.  He was honored to receive the Dominic Cuccinello Award for Distinguished Service in 2001.  Walter was the President of Board #33 in 2006 and 2007.  In 2009, he was elected to serve as the Executive Secretary & Treasurer of the board.  In addition to his work with the board, he officiates high school volleyball and serves as the assignor for volleyball officials for the Skylands conference. He retired from school administration after 38 years of service.  He also served as a director of the Pulaski Savings Bank.  Walter currently resides in Bridgewater, NJ with his wife Christine, and is the proud father of 3 grown children.

Official Interpreter  Felix A. Addeo - (Secaucus)           

            Felix has been a member of IAABO since 1973 and has been on the Executive Committee continuously since 1981.  He served concurrently as President of Board #33 and the NJ State Board #1 in 1993-94.  Prior to that, he was Secretary/Treasurer from 1985 – 1992 and also served on the Attendance, Constitution and Audit and Budget committees.  Felix has been the recipient of the Dominic Cuccinello Distinguished Service Award, the Frank C. Corrigan Memorial Award and the NJSIAA Basketball Official of the year award. 

On the international level, Felix served on the Executive Committee for 14 years, was elected President of IAABO in 2008-09 and was awarded Life Membership in IAABO at the conclusion of his term.  By profession, Felix is a Certified Public Accountant and a Partner in his firm.  He resides in Secaucus with his wife Caroline and has three sons all of whom have graduated from Georgetown University.

Membership Secretary – Brian Lauducci (Branchburg)

Brian has been a member of Board 33 since 1993. He currently serves as Membership Secretary where he is responsible for maintaining the membership roster. Prior to this, Brian served as the Somerset County mentor representative. He also served on the Mechanics and Techniques committee and the interpretation committee. Brian is employed as a Director of Information Technology for a small company in Somerville and has helped a great deal with the Board 33 website. This includes development of the online payment system that allows for credit card payment of dues.He officiates high school and college basketball and is affiliated with the NJAC, CBOA, ECAC, CSAC and other collegiate organizations. Brian lives in Branchburg, Somerset County with his wife and 2 boys.

Immediate Past President - Stephen Rubbinaccio (Bloomfield)

Steve has been a member of IAABO since 1977and an Executive Board member since 1999. He has served as VP for 09-10, Mechanics/Mentor Committee Chairman for the cadets from 1999-2009. He has also served on the Banquet, Board Relations, Constitution, Interpretation, Mechanics and Techniques, and Welfare Committees. In addition, he was a member of the CBOA, ECAC, NJAC, and the CACC men’s from 1993 -2003. He was on the staff of the Women’s NEC and Ivy, ECC, Patriot League, NJAC 1989-1993 and again from 2001-present.He has been a member of FIBA/USA since 1986.  He also serves as assigner for sub-varsity levels for 2 conferences, NJSIAA observer since 2005  Steve is employed as a Cameraperson for ABC Television Network since 1978.

Counsel – Alan Goldberger (Clifton)

Alan has served as counsel to Board 33's Executive Committee since 1977, and has been an IAABO member since 1969. He has served as Chair of the Constitution Committee of IAABO and is a member of the Board Relations and Policy Committee. Alan has officiated basketball in the Northeast Conference, as well as college baseball and high school football. He is currently Parliamentarian and General Counsel to IAABO and has served as legal counsel to many officials’ organizations. Alan is the author of Sports Officiating: A Legal Guide and has conducted workshops throughout the country for officials on behalf of IAABO and other groups involved with officiating. He was the recipient of the 2001 Professional Service Award of the School and Community Safety of America and the Presidential Award of the National Association for Girls and Women in Sports. He is the Chair of the NAGWS Committee on Legal Issues.

Attendance – Bob Sanzo (Clark)


Audit and Budget – C. Daniel Stubbs, Jr. (Newark)

Dan has been a member of IAABO since 1987. He is the current Audit and Budget Committee Chairman. He is a certified public accountant and works as the Director of the Master of Accountancy in Financial Accounting program of the Rutgers Business School. Dan is an educator and teaches undergraduate and graduate accounting at the Newark campus of Rutgers University and the Brooklyn campus of Long Island University.


Awards – Dennis Murray (Little Falls)

Dennis has been a member of IAABO since 1983. He has served on the Awards, Interpretation, Mechanics & Techniques and Welfare Committees. He is active in many athletic, civic and human service organizations in his home community of Little Falls, NJ and elsewhere, having served on the Executive Boards of the Department For Persons With Disabilities (Diocese of Paterson), Little Falls Football Parents Association and the Little Falls Athletic Club. He has coached a variety of youth sports. Dennis has been with The Prudential Insurance Company of America for over 32 years and is currently a Vice President and Account Executive in Prudential’s Group Insurance Department.


Banquet – Mary Ann Conboy (Elmwood Park)

Mary Ann has been a member of IAABO since 2000.  She has served on the Welfare, Public Relations and Mechanics and Techniques Committees and continues to work with the mentor program.  She is chairperson of the Banquet Committee and was instrumental in starting Board 33 “Blow the Whistle on Cancer” program.  She also officiates Volleyball.  She is married and has two sons Timothy and Brian.


Cadet / Examination – Carmine Picardo (Fairfield)

Has been a member of IAABO for 36 years. Currently serving as Cadet Program Chairperson. Formerly served as Assigner of Basketball Officials for the Northern Hills Conference. Currently serves as Football Assigner for the Big North, Northwest Jersey Conference, Hudson County Interscholastic Conference, Super Essex Conference, and the Union County Conference. Also, serves as the Assigner for the NJSIAA Football playoffs. Retired college football official after having served thirteen years as a Division I referee Currently employed with the Wayne Board of Education as the district Supervisor of Curriculum and Instruction for Social Studies Education.

 

Constitution – Mike Kaelber (Woodbridge)

Mike has been a member of IAABO since 1981. He has served on the Audit and Budget, Awards, Cadet Examination, Ethics, Mechanics and Techniques and presently the Constitution and Policy committees. He has also served as a mentor for new officials. Mike has been a teacher and high school soccer and softball coach in the Woodbridge Township public schools and is active in youth sports in the Woodbridge community.. He is currently employed by the New Jersey School Boards Association as Senior Director of Legal and Policy Services. He resides in Woodbridge with his wife Pat, daughter Kelli and son Brian.


County Relations – Robert Riker (Little Falls)

Bob has been a member of IAABO since 2002.  He is presently our web-site coordinator and has served on the Welfare, Public Relations, and Mechanics and Techniques Committees.  He has served as a mentor for new officials and also officiates volleyball and softball.  Bob is a retired Detective Captain of Police. 


County Relations – Pat Pasculli (Little Falls)

  Pat has been a member of IAABO since 2005. He has served on Welfare, Public Relations and Mentor Committees. He is on the Board of Trustees for The Dan Finn Classic. Pat also officiates Baseball, Softball, Soccer and Youth Football. He is married and proud father of Kristyn, Kari, Nicholas and stepson Ruochen.


Ethics – Robert Solomon (North Plainfield)

Robert has been a member of IAABO since 1997.   He is the current Ethics Committee Chairman.  He referees NCAA Division II and Division III Women’s College Basketball and has officiated the Division III Championship and Division II Playoffs. He is affiliated with the GSBO, ECAC, CUNY and CACC conferences. Bob works for Frito-Lay Inc., Division of Pepsi Co for over 10 years.


Fees – Anthony Falco (Secaucus)

Anthony has been a member of IAABO since 1987. He has served on the Ethics Committee and is presently chairman of the Fees Committee. Anthony was the head baseball coach at Secaucus High School for over 26 years. He has retired from Secaucus High School where he was a Special Education Teacher.


Mechanics and Techniques – Gary Sluck (Verona)  

            Gary has been a member of IAABO since 2002. He has served on the Mechanics and Techniques and Welfare committees and continues to work with the mentor program.  He has been employed by the same financial planning firm for approximately 19 years.He lives in Verona with his wife, MaryBeth, and his two boys, Michael and Christopher.

           

Mentor – Dick Hecker (Demarest)

Dick has been a member of IAABO since 1991. He has served on several committees including Public Relations, Interpretation, Examination and also served as co-chairman of the Mechanics and Techniques Committee. Dick is currently the chairman of the Mentor Committee. Dick officiates at the high school and college levels. He is employed with Colliers International Commercial Real Estate and serves as a Managing Director. Dick lives in Bergen County with his wife and twin daughters.


Policy – Tom Hoeland (Oakland)


Public Relations – James Cook (South Plainfield)

James has been a member of IAABO since 1985. He is a member and past president of the North Jersey Football Officials Association. He is also a member, cadet supervisor and state executive board member of the NJ Track and Field Association. He is presently the track assignor for the SEC. James is retired after spending 34 years as a teacher at South Side / Shabazz HS in Newark, where he is also a member of the school's Hall of Fame.


Special Projects – Bruce Davis  (Scotch Plains)

Bruce has been a member of IAABO since 1995. He is presently chairman of the Special Projects Committee, which will co-ordinate this year’s Special Olympics which Bruce has been involved with since the 1996-97 season. He is a former girl’s varsity basketball head coach at Scotch Plains Fanwood HS. He resides in Scotch Plains with his wife Anne. Their daughter is a Dartmouth graduate, MA at John Jay, PhD candidate John Jay College.


Welfare – Robert LaSalle   (North Haledon)

Bob has been a member of Board 33 since 2005. He has served on the Ethics and Welfare Committees and also officiates softball. He is a practicing attorney and statewide arbitrator for 34 years. He is a former Municipal Prosecutor, PBA attorney, Athletic Director and an honorary silver life member of New Jersey State Policemen’s Benevolent Association. He resides in North Haledon with his wife Carol. His children attend Penn State University and the University of Delaware.

 

NON-VOTING PRESIDENTIAL APPOINTEES


Rebound Editor – Ken Hand (Perth Amboy)

Ken has been an IAABO member since 1975 and was President of Board 33 in 2001-02. He has served as Attendance Committee Chairman and the Cadet/Examination Committee Chairman. Ken has received the Dominic Cuccinello Award for Distinguished Service in 2000 and the Frank C. Corrigan Award for Distinguished Service to basketball in 2005. He has been on the Executive Board since 1988. Ken coached baseball at Perth Amboy High School for 20 years and is a high school football official in addition he was the official scorer for the New Jersey Cardinals baseball team for 12 years and has scored for the Lakewood BlueClaws. Ken is a retired education administrator.
